Thermokon hands over donation to KiTa Wichernzwerge in Bischoffen

Following the successful open day at the production site in Bischoffen, the ceremonial handover of the donation to the Wichernzwerge daycare centre took place on Tuesday, 1 October. Harald Zygan, Managing Director of Thermokon, visited the centre and was warmly welcomed by Sandra Heinz, Director of the daycare centre. Also present were Frank Wagner, Managing Director of daycare centres and family centres, and Pastor Susanne Scherer. The entire proceeds, totalling 2,000 euros, will support the many successful educational projects at the daycare centre.

Thermokon has been firmly rooted in the region for decades - first with its site in Bicken and now with the current company headquarters in Offenbach and the new production site in Bischoffen. The company is clearly committed to supporting the local community. ‘It is very important to us to make an active contribution to the region in which we work and live,’ explained Harald Zygan. ‘With this donation, we want to support the valuable work of the Wichernzwerge daycare centre and at the same time emphasise our commitment to our region.’

The open day provided an ideal opportunity to demonstrate this close connection and make a direct contribution through the fundraising campaign. At the same time, we presented ourselves as an attractive employer and training organisation that not only focuses on innovative technologies, but also on close cooperation with local people.

Sandra Heinz, Director of the Wichernzwerge daycare centre, was very grateful for the generous donation. ‘This support enables us to realise important projects for the children that would otherwise be difficult to implement.’ The donation will go towards purchases for the outdoor area, such as a large parasol, which will offer the children additional protection when playing. There are also plans to give the current pre-school children a guided tour of the Thermokon plant in Bischoffen at a later date. ‘We look forward to introducing the children to the world of technology and giving them an insight into our production,’ says Harald Zygan.

The planned factory tour for the pre-school children is also intended to help awaken an interest in technology and innovation at an early age and get the next generation excited about the opportunities in the region.
